Disassembly

DISASSEMBLY





1. Remove bearing from coil side of the differential case with Puller C-293-PA (1), Plug C-293-3 (2), and Adapters C-293-47 (3).




2. Remove washer (1) from coil (2).




3. Remove coil (1) from differential case.




4. Remove ring gear bolts (1) and remove ring gear (2).




5. Remove differential case (1) screws (2).




6. Pry up dog clutch actuator plate (1) and remove from differential case (2).




7. Turn differential case over and remove case half.
8. Remove thrust washer (1) from side gear (2).




9. Remove side gear (1) from differential case (2).




10. Push pinion shaft (2) pin (1) up.




11. Pull pinion shaft pin (1) out of the pinion shaft (2) and case.




12. Remove pinion shaft (1) from the case and remove pinion gear (2) with thrust washer.




13. Pull opposite pinion shaft pin (1) out of the pinion shaft (2) and case.




14. Remove the pinion shaft (1) from the case and remove pinion gear (2) with thrust washer.




15. Slid remaining pinion shaft (1) out of the case and remove the remaining two pinion gears (2) with thrust washers.




16. Remove dog clutch side gear (1) from differential case (2).




17. Turn dog clutch side gear (2) over and remove thrust washers (1).




18. Remove wave spring stop ring (1) from differential case (2).




19. Remove wave spring (1) from differential case (2).




20. Remove dog clutch (1) from differential case (2).
