Height Sensor - Description
DESCRIPTION
If equipped with an air suspension system, there are height sensors located on each corner of the vehicle. If not equipped with air suspension, but is equipped with headlamp leveling, only the RF and RR height sensors are used.
The front height sensors (2) are located in the front wheel well areas. The sensors are attached to the body, and a rod from the sensor is connected to the upper control arm. There is also a three wire electrical connection (4) on the sensor.
NOTE: When installing the rear height sensors, both the right and left height sensors MUST have their sensor lever arms pointed toward the outboard side of the vehicle before the height sensor bracket to lower control arm retaining screw (5) is secured to the lower control arm (6).
The rear height sensors (3) are located near the rear air spring (1). The sensors are attached to the cradle, and a rod from the sensor is connected to the lower control arm (6). There is also a three wire electrical connection (3) on the sensor.
