Power Lock Switch - Installation

INSTALLATION






NOTE: The power lock switch can be installed two ways in the mounting bezel to accommodate use on either the driver side or the passenger side of the vehicle. Be certain that the switch is oriented so that the knurled convex or LOCK end of the switch rocker is nearest the LOCK icon on the forward end of the bezel face.

1. Position the power lock switch (3) to the back side of the mounting bezel (1).
2. Install and tighten the two screws (4) that secure the switch to the bezel. Tighten the screws securely.
3. Position the mounting bezel and power lock switch unit close enough to the opening in the inside door trim panel to access and reconnect the door wire harness connector to the switch connector receptacle.
4. Position the two engagement tabs (5) of the mounting bezel over the lower edge of the opening in the inside door trim panel.
5. Use hand pressure to press the bezel firmly and evenly into the top of the trim panel opening far enough to engage the two snap clips (2) through the upper edge of the opening.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
