Exhaust Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION

The Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor (7) 1/1 is located the outlet of the Exhaust Manifold and is accessible from the top of the engine compartment. The Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1/1 operates as a typical two wire 5-Volt sensor. It sends a signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) indicating the temperature of the exhaust gases entering the Diesel Particulate Filter.
