Battery - Installation

INSTALLATION

WARNING: Wear a suitable pair of rubber gloves when removing a battery by hand. Safety glasses should also be worn. If the battery is cracked or leaking, the electrolyte can burn the skin and eyes.





1. Install the battery into the vehicle.
2. Install the battery hold down (1) into position and install the battery hold down retainers (2).Tighten to 20 Nm (15 Ft. Lbs.).





3. Install the battery thermal blanket.






NOTE: Negative battery terminal shown, positive terminal similar.

4. Position back the positive battery cable (2) and connect to the battery (1).
5. Position back the negative battery cable and connect to the battery.





6. Install the battery cover (1).
7. Move the seat back to its original position.
