Drive Belt: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION

The accessory drive belt drives the power steering pump, the generator and the A/C compressor. Accessory drive belt tension for all engines is maintained by a non-adjustable hydraulic automatic drive belt tensioner.

The accessory drive belt is designed to meet the 10 years / 150,000 miles durability requirements. Belt replacement is not recommended until this requirement has been met or damage was done to the belt.
