Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor - Installation

1. Apply sealant to ECT sensor threads (new replacement ECT sensors will have sealant already applied).
2. Install ECT sensor (2) into intake manifold. Tighten to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.) torque.
3. Connect electrical connector (1).





4. Install the drivers side front inner wheel splash shield Splash Shield - Installation.
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. Fill cooling system. Service and Repair.
