INSTALLATION





The accelerator pedal and APPS (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor) are serviced as a complete assembly including the bracket.

1. Position the accelerator pedal/APPS assembly over the two mounting studs.
2. Install two accelerator pedal mounting bracket nuts (2) and tighten to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the accelerator pedal electrical connector (3) to the APPS.
4. Use a scan tool to learn electrical parameters. Go to the Miscellaneous menu, and then select ETC Learn.

NOTE: If the previous step is not performed, a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will be set.

5. If necessary, also use a scan tool to erase any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) from the PCM.
6. Before starting the engine, operate the accelerator pedal to check for any binding.
