Cooling System: Testing and Inspection

1. When engine is cool, ensure fan moves freely. If it does not, replace fan clutch assembly.
2. With engine hot, resistance should be felt when fan is rotated. If no resistance is felt, replace fan clutch assembly.
3. Check for excessive bearing play. If excessive play exists, replace fan clutch assembly.
4. Check for fluid leakage from fan drive.
5. Ensure there is no deformation of bimetal spring.
