Rear Suspension

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The rear suspension system is a solid axle, coil spring type, which consists of two coil springs, a rear axle, two shock absorbers, one upper and two lower trailing arms and a panhard rod (see illustration). Rear suspension support is provided by an upper trailing arm, connected to the top of the axle and body by bushings, and two lower trailing arms, connected at either (lower) side of the axle and body by bushings allowing the axle to move up and down at the supporting pints. They prevent the axle from torque rotation that could occur during car acceleration and braking. The rear suspension panhard rod is attached to the body and the axle by bushings at supporting points, preventing lateral axle movement. The two coil springs are mounted between the rear axle and the body with retainers and rubber seats. The coil springs and rear shock absorbers are independently attached between the body and axle to dampen road shock and vibration.

SUSPENSION TYPE: 4 Link Coil Spring.
