Installation Procedures
1. Raise and support vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove front wheels.
3. Remove caliper spring clip.
4. Remove caliper slide pin dust covers, slide pins and remove caliper.
5. Remove two bolts from caliper anchor and remove anchor.
6. Remove rotor retaining screws (2) and remove rotor.
7. Install new rotor and reinstall rotor retaining screws.
* NOTICE
Before installing new rotor, make sure mating surfaces on rotor and hub are clean and free of debris.
8. Reinstall caliper anchor and torque bolts to 33 - 49 lb-ft (45 - 67 Nm).
9. Clean caliper slide pins and lubricate with high-pressure caliper grease.
* NOTICE
If caliper slide pins are badly rusted or pitted, replace with new.
10. Check caliper slide pin bushings for damage and clean or replace as necessary.
11. Apply a very thin coat of high-pressure caliper grease to caliper contact points on anchor.
12. Push back caliper piston with caliper spreader or large pliers.
13. Install pads in caliper.
Note:
Make certain to remove protective backing from anti-spread material on outboard pad.
14. Reinstall caliper and torque caliper slide pins to 19-21 lb-ft (26-28 Nm).
15. Reinstall slide pin dust covers, then reinstall spring clip onto caliper.
16. Reinstall wheels and torque lug nuts to
65 - 87 lb-ft (88 - 118 Nm).
17. Lower vehicle, pump brake pedal and check/adjust brake fluid level as needed.
