Transmission and Drivetrain: Service Precautions

NOTICE: Always reinstall fasteners at the same location from which they were removed. Use the correct part number fastener for that application if a fastener needs to be replaced. A fastener of equal size and strength (or stronger) may be used if the correct part number fastener is not available. Fasteners that are not to be reused or that require thread locking compound will be identified. When installing fasteners that require precision tightening, specified tightening values must be used. Parts or system damage could result if the above conditions are not followed.
