Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection
A/C Dual Pressure Switch1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Connect manifold gauge set and measure high-pressure side refrigerant pressure.
High-pressure side: 28.5 - 455 psi
3. If not as specified, check refrigerant system, referring to troubleshooting guide.
4. If correct, go to next step.
5. Disconnect A/C dual pressure switch connector.
6. Check for continuity of switch.
7. If not as specified, replace switch.
NOTE: The dual pressure switch shut off the magnetic clutch to protect the air condition system when the pressure of refrigerant is over 455 ± 28.5 psi or below 28.5 ± 2.8 psi
