Removal

1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the crash pad lower panel (A).





3. Disconnect the 5P connector of the SMARTRA unit and then remove the SMARTRA unit (A) after loosening a shear bolt (B).

NOTE:
Remove the shear bolt
1) Using a center punch, mark the center of the shear bolt.
2) Drill a hole in the shear bolt using a drill.
3) Remove the drilled shear bolt.
4) Be careful not to damage the immobilizer unit when removing the shear bolt.

Installation

1. Install the immobilizer control unit after connecting the unit connector.

NOTE:
Tighten the shear bolt until the hex head twist off.

2. Install the crash pad lower panel.
