Shifter A/T: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Remove the console upper cover.
2. Remove the front console assembly.
3. Disconnect sports mode connector (A).




4. Remove the shift lever assembly mounting nuts (A).

Tightening torque :
18.6 - 27.5 N.m(1.9 - 2.8 kgf.m, 13.7 - 20.3 lb-ft)




5. Remove the shift cable mounting nut (A) and cap (B).

Tightening torque :
9.8 - 13.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.4 kgf.m, 7.2 - 10.1 lb-ft)





Installation

1. Installation is the reverse of removal.

CAUTION:
Set room side lever and T/M side lever to "N" position.

Disassembly

1. Remove the shift lever knob (A) by removing the two screws.




2. Disconnect the solenoid connector (A) and remove the indicator panel (B).




3. Remove the switch assembly (A) and 'P' position switch assembly.




4. Remove the solenoid (B) and solenoid lever (A).




5. Remove the lever assembly (B) by the mounting bolt (A).




6. Remove the lever (A) and tube (B) by removing the bolt (C).






Reassembly

1. Reassembling is in reverse order of disassembling.
