Heater Core: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain engine coolant.
3. Recover refrigerant from A/C system.
4. Remove fascia panel assembly.
5. Disconnect heater hoses from heater core pipes.
6. Disconnect low pressure pipe from evaporator.
7. Remove clip retaining high and low pressure pipes.
8. Disconnect high pressure pipe from evaporator.
9. Disconnect electrical connectors.
10. Remove screws securing casing to bulkhead.
11. Remove center console front mounting bracket.
12. Disconnect drain tubes.
13. Remove heater/cooler unit from vehicle.
14. Remove evaporator core unit from case.
15. Remove heater core unit from case
16. Remove heater tube from core.
17. Reverse procedure to install.
