Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and Joints: Testing and Inspection

1. Check that the propeller shaft universal joints and sliding splices are not seized or worn and that the shafts are correctly aligned.
2. In the event that both shafts are satisfactory, but the vibration/harshness is still present:
Check the transfer box operation.
Check the balance of the road wheels.
