Vehicles which exhibit the following symptoms should be checked following this procedure:
A) Poor starting
B) Ignition warning light on following cold start or while driving
C) Poor performance
D) Delayed tachometer operation
E) Erratic ignition - misfire, etc
Investigations have found that the above symptoms can be attributed to poor connections inside the under hood fuse box, on the battery positive lead and output lead to the alternator.
ACTION REQUIRED
Upon customer complaint on any of the above symptoms check the wiring connections to the under hood fuse box.

PROCEDURE
1) Remove the under hood fuse box inner and outer cover.
2) Using a screwdriver check that both 6 mm screws are secure at the battery positive lead and alternator output lead.
3) Replace inner and outer fuse box covers.
4) Check the vehicle for correct operation.
