Fuel Systems

WARNING: Fuel vapors and fuel can explode and cause bodily injury and/or material damage.


FUEL SYSTEMS
- Never use sparks or open flames near fuel vapors or fuel.
- Do not operate the fuel pump without fuel in the lines.
- On fuel injected models do not depress the accelerator pedal while trying to start the car.
- Handle all fuel injection related parts with care as they may easily become damaged.
- Always use new gaskets or O-rings when installing fuel filter, fuel lines or injectors.
- Lightly lubricate O-rings with Vaseline or similar product. Do not use petroleum based lubricants such as engine oil, gear lubricant or brake fluid.
- Relieve the fuel system pressure before servicing the components.
- After servicing fuel system, check for leaks and correct as needed.
