REPAIR 4 - Inspection and Repair of Ground Cable Connections

CHASSIS GROUND - REPAIR 4





1. Refer to Figure 11. Remove and clean the main ground cable eyelets at the chassis post, ensuring they are free from contaminants.

2. Apply terminal grease (LRNA 201325) to the eyelets and secure.

3. Tighten ground connection to 8 to 12 Nm (70 to 110 lbf.in.).

ENGINE GROUND - REPAIR 4





1. Refer to Figure 12. Remove ground cable and clean the main engine ground cable eyelets at the engine block ensuring they are free from contaminants.

2. Apply terminal grease (LRNA 201325) to the eyelets and secure.

3. Tighten ground connection to 8 to 12 Nm (70 to 110 lbf.in.).

MAIN BODY GROUND - REPAIR 4

NOTE:
The main body ground is via the engine ground cable. The mounting location is below the under-hood fuse box.





1. Refer to Figure 13. Remove ground cable and check that this point is free from contamination. Clean as necessary.

2. Apply terminal grease (LRNA 201325) to the eyelets and secure.

3. Tighten ground connection to 8 to 12 Nm (70 to 110 lbf.in.).

ENGINE HARNESS GROUND - REPAIR 4

NOTE:
The engine harness ground point is located below the under-hood fuse box.

1. Refer to Figure 13. Remove ground cable and check that this point is free from contamination. Clean as necessary.

2. Apply terminal grease (LRNA 201325) to the eyelets and secure.

3. Tighten ground connection to 8 to 12 Nm (70 to 110 lbf.in.).
