WIRING AND CONNECTOR INFORMATION FOR MULTI-FUNCTION UNIT




















Information relating to the wiring and pin locations for the multi-function unit in Discovery vehicles is difficult to determine. In an effort to assist technicians in the pursuit of problems which may be related to multi-function units, a series of tables have been developed by John Thomas of LRU to assist in determining the root of the difficulty.

RESOLUTION:

TESTING OF UNIT

Refer to the ETM for the model year in question for detailed wiring diagrams associated with the MFU. There is a specific "self-diagnostic" function performed by the MFU. Back-probing the MFU connector using the information supplied in the attachments to this TIB may be a useful method to help determine the operation of the various MFU functions.
