Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Module

Removal

NOTE: When a new passive anti-theft system (PATS) module is to be installed, the Land Rover approved diagnostic system must be connected to the vehicle and the PATS renewal procedure must be followed. This will allow vehicle configuration to be uploaded into the new PATS module.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel center speaker.
3. Release the passive anti-theft system (PATS) module.
^ Disconnect the passive anti-theft system (PATS) electrical connector.





4. Remove the PATS module.





Installation
1. Install the PATS module.
^ Connect the PATS module electrical connector.
2. Secure the PATS module.
3. Install the instrument panel center speaker.
4. Connect the battery ground cable.

NOTE: Only carry out the following step if a new PATS module is to be installed.

5. Using the Land Rover approved diagnostic system, calibrate a new PATS module.
