Transportation Cut-off Device





During production of the vehicle a transportation cut-off switch is connected in series between the battery negative terminal and the battery ground cable, to minimize battery drain during vehicle storage and delivery. The transportation cut-off switch provides a convenient method of disconnecting power from all of the electrical systems on the vehicle, but
allows power to be easily restored to start and drive the vehicle during loading and unloading.

Operating the transportation cut-off switch generates fault codes in some system diagnostics. The fault codes are cleared, and the transportation cut-off switch is removed, during the Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI), prior to handover of the vehicle to the customer.
