1. Check the coolant expansion tank pressure cap for damage/correct operation. REFER to the coolant expansion tank pressure cap pressure test. Coolant Expansion Tank Pressure Cap Pressure Test

^ Is the coolant expansion tank pressure cap operating correctly?

-> Yes
GO to Pinpoint Test G861989t3.

-> No
INSTALL a new coolant expansion tank pressure cap. TEST the system for correct operation.

G861989t3: CHECK THERMOSTAT

1. Check the thermostat for correct operation. REFER to the thermostat component test. Thermostat Test

^ Is the thermostat operating correctly?

-> Yes
Check for correct operation of cooling fans, circuits, sensors, modules, etc.

-> No
INSTALL a new thermostat.
TEST the system for correct operation.
