Active On-Demand Coupling Module

Service Repair No - 51.30.03


Removal

NOTE: If replacing the Active on-demand coupling module the sensor and throttle valve must also be replaced.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift.
2. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.





CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.

3. Position a container to collect the fluid spillage.
Remove and discard the gasket.





4. Remove the throttle valve using grips or pliers.





5. Remove the sensor using grips or pliers.





Installation
1. Install the new gasket.
2. Install the new sensor.
3. Install the cupped washer to the sensor with the convex side against the sensor.





4. Install the new throttle valve.

CAUTION: Only use the specified material to lubricate the seals.

5. Lubricate and install a new O-ring seal.

NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seal.

6. Install the active on-demand coupling module.
Torque: 6 Nm
7. Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
