Flex Plate: Service and Repair

Flexplate

Service Repair No - 12.53.13

Removal

1. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the transmission and converter.

4. Remove the flexplate.





Installation

1. CAUTION: Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when handling these components.

CAUTION: Make sure that new bolts are installed.

Install the flexplate and tighten the bolts as illustrated.
Torque:
Stage 1. 45 Nm
Stage 2. 50°





2. Install the transmission and converter.
3. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover.
