Control Module: Service and Repair

Transmission Control Module (TCM) - 3.2L

Removal

1. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the A/C compressor mounting bracket.
4. Release and disconnect the selector lever cable.





5. Release the support bracket.





6. Remove the transmission selector lever.

Installation

1. Install the TCM.

Torque:
24 Nm

2. Install the transmission selector lever.

Torque:
13 Nm

3. Secure and connect the selector lever cable.
4. Install the support bracket.

Torque:
25 Nm

5. Install the A/C compressor mounting bracket.
6. Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover.
7. If a new component has been installed, configure using Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment.
