Rear Axle Oil Temperature Sensor

Removal

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2 Drain the differential lubricant. For additional information, refer to Differential Draining and Filling Rear Drive Axle/Differential




3 Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Release the wiring harness retaining clip.




4 Remove the oil temperature sensor.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

Installation
1 Clean the component mating faces.
2 Install the oil temperature sensor.
- Tighten to 22 Nm (16 lb.ft).
3 Connect the electrical connector.
- Secure the wiring harness clip.
4 Fill the differential with the correct amount of lubricant. For additional information, refer to Differential Draining and Filling Rear Drive Axle/Differential
