Introduction
Under certain conditions, some 2003 - 2006 model year GX 470 vehicles may exhibit M.I.L. "ON" with DTC B1153. The sub-wire harness assembly leading to the seat position sensor has been improved to prevent this condition.

Applicable Warranty:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Powertrain Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 72 months or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.
* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
Repair Procedure
^ Should an M.I.L. "ON" condition with DTC B1153 be encountered, perform diagnostic procedures as described in the Repair Manual.
^ When checking Floor Wire No. 2, be aware that there is a sub-harness that is included with the seat belt buckle assembly (connector B12 to seat position sensor 2-pin connector).
^ If there is high resistance or "open" in the underseat portion of the wire harness, replace the seat belt buckle assembly, NOT the Floor Wire No. 2.
