Heater Core: Service and Repair

Fig. 28 HVAC Unit Locations:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Drain coolant from engine and radiator, then disconnect heater hoses from heater core.
3. Remove instrument panel.
4. Remove heater unit attaching bolts, Fig. 28.
5. Remove heater unit, then the heater core from heater unit.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
