Drive Belt

Use a belt tension gauge to check the tension of the alternator and power steering belts. A new alternator belt should be 170-180 lbs. A used alternator belt should be 95-135 lbs. A new power steering belt should be 100-150 lbs. A used power steering belt should be 60-100 lbs.
