Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

When performing the following tests, refer to Fig. 1.

Fig. 2 High pressure terminal locations:

1. Remove right side headlight.
2. Disconnect pressure switch connector.
3. Install manifold gauge set, then run engine at 2,000 RPM.
4. Using an ohmmeter, connect (+) lead to terminal 2 and (-) lead to terminal 3, Fig. 2.
5. Ensure continuity exists with air conditioner switch off. Ensure there is no continuity with air conditioner switch on. If neither check is good, replace switch.
