Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

Air Cleaner Cover:

Preparation
- Remove air cleaner and battery cover.
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Drain coolant into an approved container.

No. 2 Air Cleaner Hose:

- Remove No. 2 air hose.
- Disconnect air flow sensor electrical connector.

Air Cleaner:

- Remove air intake pipe from air flow meter.
- Remove air cleaner lid and air flow meter.

Air Flow Meter Attachment:

- Remove sensor from air cleaner housing.
- Reverse procedure to install, noting the following torque values:

Air flow meter - 7 ft.lb (10 Nm)
Air cleaner mounts - 43 in.lbs (4.9 Nm)
