Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Testing and Inspection


When performing the following tests, refer to Fig. 1.

Using an ohmmeter, ensure there is no continuity when coolant temperature is above 93°C (199°F). Ensure there is continuity when coolant temperature is below 83°C (181°F). If neither check is good, replace temperature switch.
