Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove transmission control rod side set nut and rod.
2. Disconnect speed sensor electrical connector, then remove speed sensor attaching bolt, then the speed sensor.
3. Remove speedometer driven gear from speed sensor, then the O-ring.
4. To install, reverse procedures. Coat new O-ring before installing on speed sensor.
Torque speed sensor attaching bolt to 12 ft. lbs.
