EGR Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection
VSV Testing - Checking Continuity:
- Connect ohmmeter across VSV terminals.
Resistance 33 - 39 ohms
VSV Testing - Checking For Short:
- Check that there is no continuity between either terminal and VSV case.
VSV Testing - Checking Operation:
- Blow air into port E. Air should flow from port F.
VSV Testing - Checking Operation:
- Apply battery voltage across solenoid terminals.
- Blow air into port E. Air should not flow from port F.
- If any step failed to produce desired results, replace VSV.
