Ignition Coil: Testing and Inspection

Ignition Coil Inspection:





- Disconnect ignition coil No. 1 electrical connector.
- Measure resistance across primary terminals.

Should be 0.30 - 0.60 ohms (at 14 - 104°F)

- Remove coil high tension wire.
- Measure resistance between high voltage terminal and indicated connector terminal.

Should be 9.0 - 15.0k ohms (at 14 - 104°F)

- Replace coil if results are not achieved.
- Repeat test on ignition coil No.2.
