Alternator: Service and Repair

ALTERNATOR REMOVAL
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
2. REMOVE DRIVE BELT
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE ALTERNATOR






(a) Remove the nut and B terminal wire, and disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the through bolt, nut and alternator.

INSTALLATION OF ALTERNATOR
1. INSTALL ALTERNATOR
(a) Install the alternator with the through bolt and nut.
(b) Connect the connector and install the B terminal wire.
2. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. INSTALL DRIVE BELT 4. CONNECT CABLE TO BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
5. PERFORM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION Testing and Inspection
