Ignition Switch: Service and Repair

Fig. 17 Ignition Switch Location:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Remove the following parts:
a. No. 1 undercover.
b. Lower pad.
c. Key cylinder pad and key cylinder light.
d. No. 3 finish panel mounting bracket.
e. No. 2 heater to register duct.
3. Disconnect electrical connector, then remove switch from key cylinder and wire harness clamp, Fig. 17.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
