1. Disconnect battery ground cable and disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Drain coolant from engine and radiator, then disconnect heater hoses from heater core inlet and outlet.
3. Remove two retaining clips and heater protector, Fig. 29.
4. Remove three screws and three retaining clamps, Fig. 30.
5. Pull heater core from case.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
