3. DISENGAGE THE TERMINAL CONNECTOR

^ Remove the terminal retainer from the female connector body.

a) Press the special tool into the access hole on both sides as shown in Figure 4.

b) Remove the terminal retainer from the female body connector.

Note: When removing the terminal retainer, avoid cutting or scratching the seal packing in the connector body with the special tool.
