Pull-In Test
The following tests must be performed within 3 to 5 seconds to avoid burning out the coil.Pull-In TestFig. 3 Pull-in test connection locations:
1.
Disconnect field coil wire from terminal C.
2.
Connect battery (+) to terminal 50 of starter, battery (-) to terminal C and starter body,
Fig. 3. Pinion gear should move outward. If not, replace magnetic switch assembly.
