1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove instrument panel No. 1.
3. Start engine.
4. Measure voltage of ECU using a suitable voltmeter between ECU terminals SOL- and GND, Fig. 34.
5. Standard voltage is 0.15-2.00 volts.
6. Place transmission in gear and, while running at 37 mph, measure voltage between ECU terminals SOL- and GND.
7. Standard voltage is voltage measured above minus 0.04-0.16 volt. If sum equals zero volts, try another ECU.
