Front Converter(s)

1. REMOVE THREE WAY CONVERTER (TWC).
- Check that the converter is cool.





- Remove the 4 bolts holding the pipe support bracket to the transmission.
- Remove the 4 bolts and nuts holding the front exhaust pie to TWC, and remove the pipe support bracket.
- Disconnect the front exhaust pipe from the TWC, and remove the 2 gaskets.
- Remove the 3 nuts, TWC and gasket. Remove the 2 TWC.





2. REINSTALL TWC.
- Using a 14 mm deep socket wrench, install a new gasket and the TWO with 3 new nuts. Install the 2 TWC.

Torque: 62 Nm (46 ft lb)

- Temporarily install the pipe support bracket to the transmission with the 4 bolts.
- Install a new gasket to each front end of the front exhaust pipe.
- Connect the front exhaust pipe to the 2 TWC with the 4 bolts and new nuts.

Torque: 43 Nm (32 ft lb)

- Tighten the 4 bolts holding the pipe support bracket to the transmission.

Torque: 43 Nm (32 ft lb)
