Manual Shift Linkage

Move the shift lever to each position. If the indicator does not align with the correct position, perform the following procedure.
1. Loosen nut on control rod.
2. Push control rod fully rearward.
3. Return control shaft lever 2 notches to "N"position.
4. Set shift lever to "N" position.
5. While holding shift lever lightly toward "R"position side, adjust control rod nut, Fig. 10.

6. Torque control rod nut to 9 ft. lbs.
7. Start engine and ensure vehicle moves forward when shifting lever from type "N" to "D" position and reverses when shifting to "R" position.
