Measure Disc Thickness With Micrometer:






1. Measure Disc thickness.
Using a micrometer, measure the Disc thickness.
^ Standard thickness: 32.0 mm (1.260 inch)
^ Minimum thickness: 30.0 mm (1.181 inch)
^ Replace the Disc if the Disc's thickness is at the minimum thickness or less. Replace the Disc or grind it on a lathe if it is badly scored or worn unevenly.

Measure Disc Runout With Dial Indicator:





2. Measure Disc runout.
^ Using a dial indicator, measure Disc runout 10 mm (0.39 inch) from the outer edge of the Disc.
^ Maximum Disc runout: 0.15 mm (0.0059 inch)
^ If the Disc's runout is maximum value or greater, replace the Disc.

NOTE: Before measuring the runout, confirm that the Front Bearing preload is within specification.
Torque: 59 Nm (43 ft. lbs.)

3. If necessary, replace Disc.
