Dash Board Removal and Installation
INSTRUMENT PANEL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL
2. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Column cover
(b) Assist grips
(c) Front pillar garnishes
(d) Front door scuff plate
(e) Hood lock release lever
(f) Fuel lid release lever
(g) Fuse box opening cover
(h) Lower finish panel
(i) Lower instrument panel
(j) No.2 heater to register duct
(k) Combination switch
3. LOOSEN DLC 3 AND FUSE BLOCK
4. REMOVE NO.2 CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
5. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN
6. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Cluster finish panel
(b) Combination meter
(c) Center cluster finish panel assembly with clock
7. REMOVE CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL WITH HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a screwdriver, take off the 2 claws, then remove the' cup holder hole cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(b) Take off the ash tray.
(c) Remove the center cluster finish panel with heater control assembly, then disconnect the connectors.
(d) Remove the 2 screws and heater control assembly from the center cluster finish panel.
8. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) Radio assembly
(b) Glove compartment door
(c) Glove compartment door stopper
(d) Speaker panel
(e) Speaker
(f) Transfer shift knob
(g) Front console box
(h) Rear console box garnish
(i) Rear console box
9. DISCONNECT AIRBAG CONNECTOR
(a) Remove the airbag connector from the airbag bracket.
NOTICE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
(b) Disconnect the airbag connector.
10. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL
(a) Remove the No.2 side defroster nozzle
(b) Remove the 10 bolts and 3 screws.
(c) Remove the instrument panel.
Torque: Passenger airbag assembly bolts
20 N.m (210 kgf.cm, 15 ft.Ibf)
11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and lower instrument panel reinforcement.
(b) Remove a bolt and No.2 finish panel mounting bracket.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and No.1 brace.
(d) Remove the 4 bolts, 4 nuts and instrument panel reinforcement.
12. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
(a) No.3 heater to register duct
(b) Defroster nozzle assembly
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
