Fuel Door: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEATS
Torque: 37 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
2. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE
3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT FLOOR ANCHOR
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT FLOOR ANCHOR
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
5. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM
6. REMOVE REAR MAT SET PLATE
Remove the 5 bolts and rear mat set plate.
7. REMOVE LH QUARTER TRIM PANEL
a. Remove the quarter trim jack cover.
b. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
c. Remove the quarter trim panel, then disconnect the connector.
8. REMOVE SPEAKER
a. Remove the 5 bolts, then disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the speaker.
9. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK
a. Turn the fuel tiller opening lid lock to remove it.
b. Remove the fuel filler opening lid lock.
10. REMOVE FUEL TANK CAP TETHER FROM FUEL FILLER OPENING LID
Remove the cap and fuel tank cap tether from the fuel filler opening lid.
11. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID
a. Open the opening lid.
b. Remove the 2 screws and opening lid.
12. REMOVE FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE SHIELD
a. Remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 fuel tank filler pipe shield rings.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe shield.
CAUTION:
- Always keep the tank cap closed when it is not required to be opened.
- Keep all fire away during the operation.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
