Component Tests and General Diagnostics

INSPECTION







1. INSPECT FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







2. INSPECT FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.







3. w/o SLIDING ROOF: INSPECT REAR PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







4. w/o SLIDING ROOF: INSPECT REAR PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.







5. w/ SLIDING ROOF: INSPECT REAR PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







6. w/ SLIDING ROOF: INSPECT REAR PERSONAL LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.







7. w/o SLIDING ROOF: INSPECT ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







8. w/o SLIDING ROOF: INSPECT ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.







9. w/ SLIDING ROOF: INSPECT ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







10. w/ SLIDING ROOF: INSPECT ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.

11. INSPECT REAR ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY




a. Disconnect the connector from room light assembly.
b. Turn the room light switch ON, check that continuity exists between terminal 2 and body ground.




c. Turn the room light switch DOOR, check that continuity exists between terminal 1 and 2.
If operation is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.







12. INSPECT REAR ROOM LIGHT SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.







13. INSPECT VANITY LIGHT CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the vanity light assembly or bulb.







14. INSPECT VANITY LIGHT CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the light and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.




15. INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY
a. Check that continuity exists between terminal and switch body with the switch ON (switch pin released).
b. Check that no continuity exists between terminals and switch body with the switch OFF (switch pin pushed).
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.







16. INSPECT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.




17. INSPECT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT CONTINUITY
Using an ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.




18. INSPECT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT CIRCUIT







19. INSPECT BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.







20. INSPECT BACK DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CIRCUIT
Disconnect the connector from the switch and inspect the connector on the wire harness side, as shown.
If circuit is not as specified, inspect power source or wire harness.







21. INSPECT GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH CONTINUITY
If continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.




22. INSPECT LICENCE PLATE LIGHT CONTINUITY
Using an ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between terminals.
If continuity is not as specified, replace the light assembly or bulb.
