Rear Wiper and Washer

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM




a. Open the cover.
b. Remove the nut and rear wiper arm.
c. Remove the grommet.

2. REMOVE THESE PARTS:
a. Assist grip
b. Inside handle bezel




3. REMOVE CENTER BACK DOOR GARNISH
Using a screwdriver, remove the center back door garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




4. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH
Using a screwdriver, remove the back door garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts.
c. Unfasten the 3 bolts and remove the rear wiper motor with link assembly.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY




a. Install the wiper motor and link assembly with 5 bolts.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

b. Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL THESE PARTS:
a. Back door garnish
b. Center back door garnish
c. Inside handle bezel
d. Assist grip

3. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM
a. Install the grommet.
b. Operate the wiper once and turn the wiper switch OFF.
c. Install the wiper arm and tighten nut by hand.




d. Adjust the installation position of the wiper arms to the position shown in the illustration.

A: Approx. 38 ± 10 mm (1.50 ± 0.39 in.)

e. Torque the nuts.

Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

f. Close the cover.
